>>The UN was busily saying he was working on WMD (more than the chemical weapons he had and used). Hindsight is great.

Actually the US inspectors said the opposite. Which was why it was necessary to vilify them and call them incompetent for not finding all the WMD under their noses.

>>They are spending an awful lot of their GNPs on building the stuff.

Yep, Iran is a real scientific player now, up there with the big boys.

>>NK putting a satellite in orbit says they can put at least a small payload anywhere in the US.

If you check that article I posted, the experts don't agree with that. Only Russia or China could do that for the foreseeable future.

>>Iran has already shown missiles that can hit Israel with a significant payload.
>>Only a matter of time and inaction in my book.

What are you basing that on? Iran is systematically demonized in a lot of Western media. For a more balanced view, see if you can find something in an Indian newspaper.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
"
