I think you expressed that very well. But again, I would hate to think disrespectful behavior on the part of an individual would cause our losing your contribution here. You would be missed and I think it would be best if you stayed with us.

>It's difficult to explain without getting misunderstood, something I know from experience. I find it hard to explain what I mean in English, but I will try my best. I don't want any argument, I only want to present my personal point of view, and I ask for the right to mean what I want.
>
>Some people implies that I want censorship, which is totally wrong. All I want is mutual respect within defined boundaries. I am used to the rule that people's sexuality, political views, race and religion are not subject to discussion outside designated forums. And I am also used to the rule that breaking those rules are considered disrespectful and should be stopped.
>
>I meet many people, and I am used to mutual respect. One of the common rules, written or not, is that preaching is not allowed without previous announcement. And if it happens, the person is reminded about this rule. Almost always the person accepts and that's it. If not, he is gently asked to leave the meeting. It has never crossed my mind that I should be the one to leave the meeting, I have not crossed any boundaries.

>>I really understand your feeling on this but why would you let the ravings of a clearly delusional person drive you away? Ignore him. There are obviously mental health issues involved. I find I like people best if I don't know much about their sex lives or religious beliefs.
>>
>>>The only good it does, is to his ego in his own mind. I have lost all my respect for that disrespectful man. I left Foxite partly because of his writing there, don't be surprised if I leave this forum also for the same reason.
>>>
>>>>No disrespect meant, Rick ... but can we lay off the Bible-thumping topics for awhile? It's really a line of discussion that causes lots of heated words and hurt feelings. I can't see how that does anybody any good at all.

>>>>>It relates to who we are. We were made in the image of God, Mike. We are not these flesh bodies, fighting with one another, mere mortals walking the Earth for a time having gone through evolutionary blah blah blah. We are eternal, spiritual beings caught up in sin. And sin cannot live in that place (eternity) because we have seen what it has done to this Earth, to men everywhere. God put into motion a plan to put an end to sin. Forever. It is what Heaven is.
>>>>>
>>>>>The truth I do know, Mike. He is Jesus Christ. Notice I didn't say "it" for truth. He is truth. And when I say that, I mean it literally. We have the concept of truth here, which is honesty, goodness, foundational, immutable realities. The truth has one voice, while lies and deceit have a billion voices. The truth always exists no matter what lies are spread about it.
>>>>>
>>>>>Jesus is truth. He is also love. All of this "cosmic sense of humor" you refer to ... God is putting away sin. All who go to that place will never hear His voice. Will never seek to know the truth. They were lost before they were born because their hearts were hard.
>>>>>
>>>>>Seek to learn of Him, Mike, and you also will see for yourself.

Charles Hankey

Though a good deal is too strange to be believed, nothing is too strange to have happened.
- Thomas Hardy

Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm-- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves.

-- T. S. Eliot
Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for lunch.
Liberty is a well-armed sheep contesting the vote.
- Ben Franklin

Pardon him, Theodotus. He is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature.
