>We have a client running a FoxPro application from a new Windows 2008 R2 server that keeps getting indexes corrupted. We are able to reindex and they continue on after that but it keeps recurring. The one unique thing here is that the Win2k8 server is actually a Virtual server on a box running VM Ware. Has anyone seen index corruption with Win2k8 running on VM Ware?

You're out of luck, it's the SMB2 bug which Microsoft won't fix, and now also won't mention because it's so old. Check thread #1511813,
