Hi,
Disable SMB2 and oplocking and also disk caching on the workstation as well as offline files.

>>>We have a client running a FoxPro application from a new Windows 2008 R2 server that keeps getting indexes corrupted. We are able to reindex and they continue on after that but it keeps recurring. The one unique thing here is that the Win2k8 server is actually a Virtual server on a box running VM Ware. Has anyone seen index corruption with Win2k8 running on VM Ware?
>>>
>>>Prior to moving to the new server there were no issues....and consequently the old server was also a VM image running on the exact same hardware. But the old server was windows 2003.
>>
>>You're out of luck, it's the SMB2 bug which Microsoft won't fix, and now also won't mention because it's so old. Check thread #1511813,

>I am marking this as solution...our network tech working on this was just drawing the same conclusion so it looks like we were are going to be forcing their workstations to use SMB version 1 instead of SMB2.
