Sorry for bringing up religion. That can stir up demons.

BTW -- reverting to the original topic -- I am not so sure about your suggestion, at least going from Form/Class Designer to FRX. My guess is that what is placed in the clipboard is the minimum information about each copied object. Certainly its name, class, class library, and any non-default values/methods -- but not necessarily the default information, some of which may be exactly what is of interest when trying to paste into the FRX.

Furthermore, the request is not to paste into the FRX (updating the file), but rather pasting into the Report Designer. Again, my guess is that posting into the FRX when the report is open in the designer is worthless, since the FRX is re-written when you save it.

Just some guesses. If anybody pursues this, they would find out if these were indeed stumbling blocks.
