If I were only concerned about my life here, then it would drain me of motivation to improve life on Earth while here. As it is, I have an eternity, I have a Savior, I have a reason to live and to do my best in everything I do. I try earnestly to walk that walk. It is a purposeful effort in my life, one which requires constant vigilance, constant attention, unwaivering diligence. It is well worth the effort it requires, however, as believers receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, a "down payment" upon the guarantee of what we will receive in Heaven. There is no comparison to the feeling of peace you have in the midst of the storm -- God's peace, God's seal upon your life unto eternity.
