Naomi
When I was a young GI I got my corporal stripes by solving a problem with a gasoline engine that everyone else had rejected as unfixable.
Many years later, my company won a very large contract by tackling a tiny but important software issue that several other companies had said was unfixable. We lost money fixing it but the large contract paid that back 1000 fold.
Step back and look at it. Make sure that everyone knows how difficult it is.
And then go in and do it.
You've given me some terrific advice here. You're loaded with talent.
You can handle anything that you tackle. Just be calm, sip some coffee and take it one step at a time.
Forget how hard it is. Just think about the fun you'll have when you say that you did it.
Anyone who does not go overboard- deserves to.
