You'll have to look at the distribution license. It seems to change all the time.
CR 8.5 is not certified to run on versions after Windows 2000, meaning if you run into problems, SAP will not help you fix them.
Will it work? Maybe. Depends on your integration method (Crystal application vs. CRPE), complexity of reports, etc.
