No, but actually, I just found the problem. Evidently SQL server does not re-check the key again once you run the query, unless you restart the services, or run dbcc freeproccache. Once I did that, SQL checked the key and all worked as expected. thanks for your input.

... I just noticed you are in SLC. You know, I have family out there and I been trying to find a SQL position out there for a while. No chance your company has an extra one open is there??
