What they call 'liberals' in the US isn't too different from either that POV nor from how Bill describes them. Both strains of the homo americus are obsessed with some ideas the rest of the world would find anywhere between irrelevant, insane and absurd (which covers a large area), while completely ignoring the herd of elephants in the room.
