I have apps running just fine in windows up to version 7 (and in early betas of win8)

now I installed window 8 on my laptop as 2. OS

when I open a table in win7 add a record the GetNextID code in the database container gets executed
the default on the PK is set to call that routine

under windows 8 this is not happening.

what could cause that?
Has anybody seen that?
