>>>> The way this society becomes more and more litigious and the government want to legislate everything, one day we will see a warning on a chain saw "this saw is not intended for shaving legs or any other body parts."

>>In the good old days the State regulated a lot more than it could hope to today. E.g. in Alabama it was made illegal to wear a fake mustache in church. Imagine the howls of free speech/invasive government if you tried to get that passed today. No sane polititian would even try. I'd also observe that there must have been enough objection to fake mustaches at some point that people approved of the law- either that, or they were more tolerant of government "repression" back in the good old days. Perhaps today's stroppy aggrieved populace carries much of the cause of its own unhappiness because it insists on hunting for grievance and sweating the small stuff.

>Recently, IIRC, I saw an article somewhere that some states ban teens wearing pants below waist or something of that nature. I think this law should apply to plumbers too <g>.

I know that (IIRC) an Alabama judge has made it a contempt of court infraction to wear pants like that in his court.
