My earlier suggestion was to consider GitHub - not a local git server. Been using it here for one project with VS for over a year. Used TFS on another proj. Happy with both. But GitHub is simple to set up and, if developers are scattered around, then an already installed cloud based server is a simple way to go.

>Git is going to add to the confusion. You need a Linux server and setting up the Windows stuff is not simple. Then you still don't have VS integration. Using TFS from VS is drop-dead simple.

>>Maybe check out Git as well. I have a neighbor, some years younger than us and a C# guy, who is wildly enthusiastic about Git. He says it has transformed his development practices. That struck me as a pretty strong statement.
