>>I've inherited an application that uses Arial font for everything. It doesn't really look bad, but it got me wondering what the 'standard' is or if there is one. I kind of like Arial, but Sans Serif seems more common. Do people use one font for on screen dialogue, or buttons, and another for printed output? Does anyone consider whether printed output is destined for a dot matrix or laser printer? Any comments on fonts in general is appreciated.

I've been comparing different fonts, and looking here at internet explorer it seems the button captions are MS Sans Serif not Arial. Is Arial 9 point standard for printing and on screen? Why is Sans Serif the worst I can use?
Thanks for the help,
Marcus.
