>>>>I think he was quoting FBI wiretaps. Still whats a few million South East Asian dead when we can laugh about LBJ and tricky Dicky.

>>>Just so it's clear, I didn't say anything about the 3 million Vietnamese casualties and would never make light of that.

>>And I never really approved of the word "casualty". Sounds somehow... casual. These people are dead. I'd call them so, or victims, or anything along those lines. Casualty seems politically overrectified.

>To me it means dead. It's not like "friendly fire" or one of the other euphemisms the military has come up with.

Remember when the great Walter Cronkite was really into the Vietnam war? Each Wednesday (a magic day in military circles) was so special on his CBS news show. That is when Mr. Cronkite would give the kill numbers for the preceding week. Typical numbers were something like, United States 5, North Vietnam 1050. Yes sir, we killed lots of those commies and they killed only a few of the U.S. troops. These types of numbers went on for most of 1968. Then the kill numbers lost popularity and they stopped giving them.

Go team, go! Kill those commie bas*****!

After I got out of the Air Force in October 1967, I relied on my GI buddies to let me know what was going on in Vietnam. Every man, woman, child and water buffalo killed seemed to enter the statistics as commies killed by U.S. troops.

At the end of World War II it was determined that it took an average of 400 bullets to kill one enemy. In Vietnam it took an average of 65,000!

One group insists that Walter Cronkite and Jane Fonda lost the war for us. The war was lost before it started. It is better to blame someone for us loosing a war. We don't have the red scare anymore. Now we just worry about them muslims. Oh, and add North Korea, and add.........................................................................................

When the United States fulfills its mission to convert everyone on the face of the earth to Christianity (Let the Protestants decide which is the “True Church”, As they have over 30,000 different denominations), and issued every living soul a credit card, then our mission will be complete. We will have brought civilization to the entire world.

Then once we have established a one world order, the 30,000 Protestant denominations, and the many different organizations issuing credit cards can go to war to decide who the true god is! :)
