>>I recently upgraded to the latest version of VisioForge's VideoCapture ActiveX control and it is causing my application to crash (interestingly only once compiled to an .exe, never in dev). The interesting part is how it crashes:
>>1. I pull up the video control on a form that sits as a top level form
>>2. The activex control settings are set and the video feed starts (i can see the webcam's video feed).
>>3. Now, if I try to open another form in my application my entire app crashes with an O.S. generated "Microsoft Visual Foxpro has stopped working". If I click to close the program, I get a second O.S. generated window telling me my application has crashed. If I click Close again I get a VFP messagebox error that says "Runtime error 216 at 03EF56EA".

>>I have tried a thousand combinations of troubleshooting this, but nothing I do fixes the error. Any ideas here?

>>All I need is a reliable simple ActiveX web cam control that allows me to capture a frame from the video feed as a jpg image. Since this VisioForge control isn't working, do you have something that works well with a wide variety of old and modern webcams?

>Do you have _VFP.AutoYield = .f.? I had VFP crashing if it was set to .t., for a different control thou, it was for a telephony activex (exceletel), for video I created a program long time ago, which has not been in use now for like 5 years as they switched to a new system, and it was using DivarSDK from Bosh, but it was proprietary for their CCTV systems and it worked nicely from Foxpro, googling "divarsdk bosh" I see that there are free downloads for it, but cant vouch for them as we had a paid version.

Thanks. I have tried changing the autoyield, but no change. The control still crashes my application.
