>I recently upgraded to the latest version of VisioForge's VideoCapture ActiveX control and it is causing my application to crash (interestingly only once compiled to an .exe, never in dev). The interesting part is how it crashes:
>1. I pull up the video control on a form that sits as a top level form
>2. The activex control settings are set and the video feed starts (i can see the webcam's video feed).
>3. Now, if I try to open another form in my application my entire app crashes with an O.S. generated "Microsoft Visual Foxpro has stopped working". If I click to close the program, I get a second O.S. generated window telling me my application has crashed. If I click Close again I get a VFP messagebox error that says "Runtime error 216 at 03EF56EA".

>All I need is a reliable simple ActiveX web cam control that allows me to capture a frame from the video feed as a jpg image. Since this VisioForge control isn't working, do you have something that works well with a wide variety of old and modern webcams?

Have you tried to issue a SYS(2333,0) before initiating the activeX control? I've seen many problems resolved with this settings.

We are using an older solution CapturePro3 originally from pegasus imaging. Still works well as far as we can see. Never tried it with digital image signals though.
