I hope that someone out there can help me, cos this is a really strange problem.

I have a method in a form that prints a client statement for every client in my database. Each client can choose a different style of statement, so rather than running as one big report, it runs as multiple small reports (one for each client).

The reports are held in Crystal Reports v6 and the data in SQL Server 6.5.

The printing code is in a loop, scanning the client table. For each client, the data is brought back from SQL Server to VFP5, modified and copied out to a temporary DBF. A Crystal Reports Activex object is then created to print the report in the style chosen by the client, using the DBF as the data source. The crystal report object is then released, and the loop starts again.

This all works fine and at a fair pace until I get to around the 55th client, when I get a windows dialog box on-screen saying:

"Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library : Program .exe : Abnormal program termination"

The only option on the dialog box is OK, which closes down the fox app.

The problem is not data related - I have started the statement run from client 50 and it prints through client 55 and onwards without a problem.

Any ideas ??? Is this a fox or crystal reports problem ?
