>Did you actually read the article? It says the same kids as before will be honored, but it'll happen in front of the whole school. Sounds good to me. The kids who excel will get praised for it in front of their peers (instead the usual athletes get public praise while scholars get certificates with their report cards) and those who haven't excelled will see that doing so can lead to public praise.

I read the article and I listened to the interview with the principal. It is exactly what it sounds like - they don't want kids feeling disenfranchised so everyone gets a "special" night.

This is one of the main reasons this country is going down the toilet, and you are one of the primary supporters of it.
