I think it's 8 kilobytes per single command. I've seen insert command failing (even on a cursor adapter), or a create table, with 200 fields and too many options or long values. The length of a string passed may be limited by the ODBC driver, but I'm regularly sending about 18K of script at a time without a problem. Don't know whether even the oldest one in use (for SQL 2000) has a limitation.
