Don't you think that might make the USA a weaker couintry ? At the moment you get a lot of benefit from being a single market with common financial rules taxation etc.

Actually I agree with you I think government should be as local as possible. It often beats me how the fringes of the UK put up with being ruled from London and much of the financial decision making being done for the benefit of London and the South East
