>>In the land of the blind? It so easy to see the evil in your enemy, its so much harder to see your own.
You're saying I'm an evil blind man whose mind is occupied by fanatic Christian morons being paid by ultra right Jews?
Sounds important. How much do I earn for all this then? ;-)
Seriously, I agree it's easy to mis-characterize people on the basis of slogans. I'm reminded of the ironic presentation of the Jewish couple in Borat: every generous behavior by this hospitable couple is recast by Borat into something sinister, ending with him fleeing the house. We humans seem to be expert at behaving like that. ;-)
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
-- Shakespeare: Coriolanus, Act 1, scene 1
