Please take into account I have already coded multiple applications using ASP.NET. Also, I am using Mere Mortals as my application framework, SQL Server 2008 R2 as my database and use Telerik tools and Telerik Reporting and obviously use Visual Studio.

If you already have experience with ASP.NET (webforms I assume), keep at it. It is a current, viable, and supported platform.
Whether you stick with Mere Mortals is another story. If you really like it and get good support, continue on.
Silverlight is a dead horse.
MVC is a learning curve from where you are (it's not a bad platform, but it is different in implementation).
