I know it's my perception. That's why I said "I think." My read of it (not yours, not anyone else's) is that the poster (likely subconsciously) thought that his or her time to write the reason for posting was more valuable than the time of the readers, who'd have to click through and wait to find out the topic.

Note that I also used the word "slightly." I don't think this is a major offense; it's, to me, around the level of butting into line in front of somebody else, or similar stuff.
