I suspect actually that outages are far more likely in that environment than with one of the big host providers. The vast majority of sites online today already aren't in-house hosted today. It doesn't really matter if it's major provider or a local ISP that goes down - down is down :-)

Figuring out Amazon's pricing is a bit involved. I started this thread because i have directed a few clients to a particular cloud hosting company who has a good handle on running the VFP app in the cloud. Was debating whether to more aggressively use & promote the services of this particular cloud provider or look elsewhere.
