Not necessary. I took SCRUM Master training from Winnow Management back in 2009. I know the benefits of SCRUM - we've used it since then. I was interested in your personal perspective of using Kanban compared to the link I posted (since you have been using Kanban for some time now)

>We're using Kanban, and using it effectively.

>One can argue that Scrum is only applicable to software, but it isn't. Scum.org is dedicated to Scrum as a software methodology while ScrumAlliance.org is about pushing Scrum in to business processes.

>I've heard Jim Benson, a Kanban expert (http://www.personalkanban.com/pk/) and Richard Hundhausen, a Scrum expert (http://blog.accentient.com/) both talk about using Kanban for software projects. I personally know Rich as well as Agile experts David Starr (currently at Microsoft) and Alistair Cockburn (one of the signers of the Agile Manifesto) and can ping them to get a direct reply on it if you want.
