I am trying to decide if I should use ASP.NET Web Forms (WF) or ASP.NET Web Pages (WP) for rewriting my web site (static information, not connection to a database).
I have read in a tech forum online that the difference between WF and WP is that WF does not give you good control over the generated markup. But it appears that for WP I have to learn two new technologies, Razor and WebMatrix.
My goal of this project is to learn HTML5 as much as possible and (later) jQuery and incorporate these technologies into my site.
Given the goal of HTML5 and jQuery, what do you recommend to use, ASP.NET Web Forms or Web Pages?
