You're talking about monopolies. They have the ability to dictate pricing because there is no competition. With bitcoins it's available world-wide. If seller X raises their price to 4 bitcoins, I might buy it if their wares are worth 4. If not, I'll go to seller Y who has it for 2.
Our industries are being taken over systematically today world-wide to create monopolies and gauge consumers. Oil, clothing, food, every staple. It's why we see the price increases. That, inflation, and purposeful mechanisms designed to dimish people's abilities as individuals to get aheaf due to taxes, regulations, fees, etc.
