I don't think that FoxPro can read barcodes from a scanner (ok to prove me wrong!) which is why I am using Visual Basic 6. If you have a way to read barcodes with Fox, give me a shout. Otherwise, let me know what your best talents are and maybe we can work together on future projects.

To the computer a barcode scanner IS a keyboard, simple as that! Nothing fancy, no need for any third party software. Hook up the scanner, and you are done! In some cases the scanner adds a character before or after the barcode, but they are easily removed by for instance chrtran(). As a test, open Notepad, and see what you see when you try scanning, you will be surprised.
