>The battery in my laptop PC seems to be no more. The laptop is an HP Pavilion dv6, four or five years old and generally unused unless I am out of town or my older daughter is here. Allie told me this weekend that the laptop immediately dies if not connected to AC. I confirmed that, then ran the HP self-diagnostics which reported the battery has failed.

>What I am looking for is guidance on a good replacement battery. The label on the battery says "REPLACE WITH HP SHARE 593554-001". Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
Be careful buying refurbished batteries on Amazon. I bought one a couple of years ago and it was absolutely no good.
