Well, from first look I am a cultural bolshevik too stingy to blow all my income...

From social capital est. mid class is more fitting than the techie middle class - which I can follow, as for me sports (and other parents) form different circles than those encountered by others in our profession, which is reflected in the high status/low count pattern stemming probably from contacts encountered job-mostly in techie middle class.

Economic capital mostly similar to elite and techie middle class makes some sense as well, as living as single and sending money to other household probably does not fit enough people to create a new category.

Cultural capital that of a new affluent worker - definately more than a little truth to that, as highbrow cultural activities were never my cup of tea (Or as I am a coffee drinker, perhaps they *were* a cup of tea for me ?).

So all I need to get into elite is shacking up with a girl taking me to Swan Sea and the Opera, who earns enough to compensate household income for those funds going elsewhere. OTOH I am much to elitaritarian to belong to an elite class...

Reading the discriminant or cluster analysis identifying those 8 classes on 3 dimensions with each having 2 probably largely correlated measures would be interesting. Or laughable...
