Personal means information about YOU. Your machine is not you. So, for example, your email address identifies you, but your IP address does not.

>If you define "personal" as "related to the same machine", then all those calls home made by the OS, installer and whatnot are clustered around the same user or at least same machine. Microsoft does it differently, but still does it. And, if there's no personally identifiable information, why is it then encrypted?
