No, no RAID is in effect.

The ghost drive, the new one, has been put in the PC and we ended up with similar situations. However, that drive is cleaned of errors, which was not the case of the old one with so many bad sectors.
We also removed the 2nd drive, the d: one, so to make sure it was not in effect. That drive has been checked and it doesn't appear to have any problem.
The ghost image, however, may have grabbed a virus, which is something we still have in the equation. That's the only thing so far we believe might be the cause of all those bad reactions. This will be checked over the weekend.
I'll know more by Monday morning of the outcome.
