I agree that she was a historical figure. She left her mark. I think she was terrible news for the poor and working class of England but no one can deny her impact. To me the sign of great figures -- thinking of people as different as Churchill, Reagan, and FDR -- is not whether you agreed with them but whether they had an impact on their times. She left footprints.

She reportedly suffered from Alzheimer's at the end. That is sad.
