Gregory, it's simple. Many people have not heard the truth about Jesus.

Many have only heard what their friends have said, what society has taught, what they've caught through bits and pieces of learning throughout their life. Many have never read the gospel account, or seen the struggle of God to keep His people on the straight and narrow way when all they do is continually reject Him. God tries so hard to reach people, but they won't listen to Him (because of sin and sin's pulls upon their flesh).

If each person would take the time to learn about Jesus for themselves, to seek to see Him as He truly is, to learn of Him from Him directly by reading the Bible, then there is not one person anywhere who would come away with anything other outright total awe of who He is, and the deepest heartfelt admiration for what He's done to reach out and save us, a warring, rebelling, angry brood of vipers.

Sin is the problem. And Jesus is the answer ... to every question.

It's not just a bumper sticker. It's the reality of the situation. When we turn back to God, we are saved. Saved from the evil of this world, saved in eternity, restored into a right relationship with God, able to follow the truth, and to teach others the truth (as I am doing here). All of it is made possible by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ at the cross, His death and resurrection, the gift of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, and the power of His authority which is supreme over all things in the universe.

Learning about Jesus ... it's nothing short of the most amazing thing that's ever, ever, ever happened.

And it is my desire to share that reality with people because all there is everywhere else is outright falseness about who Jesus is. Only by coming to Him directly will you find the truth. But you must be looking for the truth. You must really want to know.
