At least you enjoyed your misspent youth ;-)
What happened in Boston on Monday seems to have struck a chord. Just when it seems like we have become inured to senseless violence something hits us. In a way it's like Al Qaeda has struck us from within, inspiring native born Americans to strike their own country.
The nature of the explosion reminded me of some late night conversation with one of the people I went to Houston with after Katrina. We drove through the night both ways, with one woman with us on the way down and two coming back. He had been a platoon leader in Iraq with a specialty of preventing insurgents from setting off IEDs. He said if you were found with wiring you had a lot of explaining to do.
