Well, that's precisely the point ... Many of these signs have already appeared, and some of the missing ones might only appear AFTER His return.

>>On the other hand, how do you know that Christ didn't return yet?
>>(I believe He did.)
>
>It is very clear what will happen when He returns. He has not returned yet. However, the time is soon, as per the signs He told us to look for. Read on if you will.
>
>-----------------------
>Daniel 12:1-4 - KJV - Tells of the future, written around 165 B.C.
>"12:1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
>12:2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
>12:3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.
>12:4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased."

>
>Here we see signs of the times:
>(1) A time of trouble, such as never was since (Jesus clarifies this in Matthew 24, saying it is the worst ever, and the worst that will ever be)
>(2) Many shall run to and fro,
>(3) Knowledge shall be increased
>
>These all happen before Jesus' return.
>
>Matthew 24:3-14 - KJV - Jesus speaks of the events which must come before the end, written 1st Century A.D.
>"24:3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
>24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
>24:5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
>24:6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
>24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
>24:8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
>24:9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
>24:10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
>24:11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
>24:12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
>24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
>24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come."

>
>Here we see a sequence:
>(1) Wars and rumors of wars
>(2) Nation against nation, famines, pestilences, earthquakes in diverse places
>* Note: Those are the BEGINNING of sorrows
>(3) Christians shall be delivered up to be killed
>(4) Many false prophets will arise and deceive many (indicating these are real like real prophets, meaning they have real power -- later clarified in Revelation that they will perform miracles in full view of men)
>(5) Iniquity shall abound
>(6) Love shall grow cold
>(7) The gospel will be preached to the end oft he world (we're not there yet, close, but still many nations to go)
>
>I Thessalonians 4:16-17 - KJV - Tells of the future, written in the 1st century A.D.
>"4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
>4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."

>
>Those who remain when He returns will be transformed in an instant, in the twinkling of an eye, and shall be called up to meet the Lord in the air, and will ever be with The Lord.
>
>Revelation 20:4 - KJV - Speaks of the 1,000 year reign of peace, those saints who were killed for their faith come alive and reign with Christ for 1,000 years. During this time, Satan is bound up in chains unable to influence the world. Life abounds, everything is restored normally.
>"20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years."
>
>Revelation 20:7-8 - KJV - Once the 1,000 years is about to expire, Satan is loosed from his prison
>"20:7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
>20:8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog, and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
"
>
>Revelation 20:11-15 - KJV - After this, the judgment
>"20:11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
>20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
>20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
>20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
>20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."

>
>No people are left at this time except saints, believers.
>
>Revelation 21:1-3 - KJV Then a new Heaven and a new Earth are seen, God lives with His people
>"21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
>21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
>21:3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God."

>
>When Jesus returns ... 1,000 years of peace, followed by a brief period of turmoil as Satan is loosed to test all those who were born and are still alive during the 1,000 years (there will be no death during this time because Jesus, the source of all life, is here). Satan will deceive many and they too will be consumed. And all people past and present are summoned before the Great White Throne for judgment. Called by name, with Heaven and Earth literally running the other way ... there will be no denying.
>
>Romans 14:11-12 - KJV - Jesus will be acknowledged as Lord by all. Believers and non-believers.
>"14:11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
>14:12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God."

>
>It will be like being in the principal's office, or in a courtroom where you are under someone else's authority. All people will be under Christ's authority and He will meet them either as a lion or a lamb. A lion for all who received Him not, ready to eternally damn. A lamb for all those who received Him, as He welcomes them into His Kingdom saying, "Well done, my good and faithful servant."
Difference in opinions hath cost many millions of lives: for instance, whether flesh be bread, or bread be flesh; whether whistling be a vice or a virtue; whether it be better to kiss a post, or throw it into the fire... (from Gulliver's Travels)
