One of the intereting setups. My guess for compromise area between tablet and keyboard usage is 11.x or 12.1, esp. if one keeps a 7' tablet only.

The Surface is a great tablet, but not suitable for development as it doesn't have enough RAM. There are some reports that Windows Blue will support smaller tiles. That surely will push the Windows tablet devices to a smaller form factor.
