>>>I have a dropdown list which is long enough that it has a scrollbar. Occasionally when you scroll down and click a row VFP ignores your select, but closes the dropdown list leaving the old value. If you're not paying attention, you think VFP took your click.

>Absolutely the click is on the item. The behavior is very strange and I can't reproduce it with any regularity.

A few wild "scattershot" questions:
- is this a dropdown list, or is it working like a combobox?
- is the dropdown populated statically or dynamically?
- Is the dropdown part of a grid?
- Do you have any ActiveX components active at the time?
- Do you have any mouse or any other events being trapped or triggered?
