It's hard to tell from some of those videos, but some of the pitches they're going up are nearly vertical. They can only be climbed by taking a run at them.
That would rule out mountain bikes and horses. Dirt bikes, yeah... any good rider could go up any of those pitches in a fraction of the time of those 4wd vehicles.
Still, it's interesting to see what happens when you mix a low center of gravity, lots of power and 4wd with fully locked differentials (if those vehicles even have any).
