WinRAR offers command line as well (which we use to fire off to utilize multi-core unzipping) - only those using GUI are nagged after a period of time to subscribe. In that company one Dev uses the GUI extensively - he has a licesense. But if you use Total Commander as GUI/shell, that can be configured to use WinRAR for RAR (and Zip if you prefer). Being 1 file makes it easy to carry/deploy, but 7zip can be put on USB as well IIRC.
