Yes.

Super powerful. Super fast to develop in.

IMO, the only issue you'll find nowadays that customers won't like is that some of the controls look a little generic alongside the OpenGL flash their iPhones and Androids give. But, with a little extra attention to detail you can still overcome that as well. For example, instead of using buttons, use custom rendered images which use a themed button template. At control instantiation, render three images using the template (neutral, hover, and down), and then update the control's image in real-time based on mouse movement events.

You can do the same for other controls to make them much more flashy, having hot-tracking responses, etc. If you get to the point where you're considering this, let me know and I'll help you with the classes and graphics algorithms to render the controls in real-time.

You can also always later migrate your VFP source code to other projects with very little revision, like Alaska Software's Xbase++, or Harbour's 32/64-bit compiler, even Lianja or other product, and prayerfully one day ... Visual FreePro. :-)

If you choose to go with something else, I would recommend Java. With Android gaining over 1.3 million new device activations per day world-wide, Java is not going anywhere. And, Java is open source.
