>>>But also the trend to always add more data to be cached locally speaks for apps IMO as does the recurring case of lost connection.

>Agreed. I'm considering a HTC One phone: critics (maybe the ones paid by Samsung? ;-)) are bemoaning that it only has 32Gb. My first PC's hard drive had 20Gb and a single core 386sx that ran FP like a Fox. The FP2 installset was miniscule too. Somebody is going to write something like that for mobile, probably using something cross platform like the scx that easily could parse locally to CSS/HTML5 for the best of both worlds. JMHO.

20 GB HD with 386sx ? Would believe 20MB, as until Pentium or early K6 time I was chaining SCSI discs and HP tape drive to get a few GB and affordable backup...
32GB for me is enough space as well as I am not into video-take-along. But for me the ability to switch devices by inserting mSDHC in a minute is much better than filling a device via WLAN or USB cable. USB OTG not always being supported when mSDHC capability is missing is another one of my gripes. HTC builds nice devices, but fixed battery and no mSDHC are too much. One of the points making me look into Nokia 620 was the built quality and smaller rectangle size coupled with exchangable battery and mSDHC... But I must confess I have not looked recently into programs able to synch a few GB of "must-carry" across multiple devices and OS (and I really like my very old school Nokia E51 - for me about the best form factor for a device mainly used as a phone with some swiss army knive functions like office/pdf reader, alarm clock, camera to document in case of problems. Shows I am not hip). Everybody is proud of their always on phone and the first thing when people meet is one or two of them needing a cable to load ;-)
