Alas that happens a lot. My suggestion:
1) Have you spoken with Chen, the father of VFP Compiler? You and he probably could do great stuff together. He's doing an x64 version of VFP as we speak.
2) Have you considered doing something for mobile? Much more opportunity on mobile and you can sell if for next to nothing so as not to offend your beliefs, but it will cover your costs.
