We have a new computer with Windows 8 and a touch screen interface. On my application is a DropDown list box. I can use the touch screen to launch the application, and command buttons respond to both click and double-click operations.

If I touch the drop-down the list of items appears. However, when I touch one the items the value in the drop-down doesn't change.

HOWEVER.......

If we have an external keyboard/mouse plugged into one of the USB ports, the control reacts "properly."

Has anybody seen this behavior and have suggestions on how to fix it?
