>I am looking for help regarding a system error that is occurring randomly in our accounting software system. We are using accountmat 8.1 for SQL and during the day we are having users complain that the system freezes up with a "please wait" error on the top right corner of the screen and has to be killed through task manager. there is no error record regarding the issue and we are left totally in the dark. it was mentioned that the issue may be due to a transaction and buffer misstep in the program but how do i fix it? any help/advice would be a huge help. thank you.
Hi David,
Are you sure you're using SQL Server as your back end? We had similar problem a while back with VFP database. I am no longer working in that company and they already converted back end to the SQL Server. I asked my colleague yesterday about that problem, but he doesn't remember.
Do you have the source code? Do you have one process running in VFP transaction while the other performing table updates? Do you have error logs showing what lead to the error?
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
