Yes that has been my experience. I have found that you must use a method that has the same hierarchy whether is called from the column or the control in the column. However, I noticed that the code reference tool included in VFP uses methods and I have never had a problem so I assumed there must be a way to use methods as control source. So far the solution that works is "Thisform.mymethod".

I have noticed weird things happen when you use a method for the column control source and this grid is just two columns with ControlSources set to Thisform.SetListText("UPTBL") and ThisForm.SetListPicture("UPTBL",UPTbl.ID)
