Since Window is MultiTasking (Allow many processes running, Actually CPU do a little bit tasks on each application!), SPOOL printing technique is to avoid this happen on printing task. If you give 2 print jobs(One is Word, One is Image) to printer, Surely you don't want the printer print partly Word and partly Image...
So, WinSPOOL is to first print all the print task into a file and put them into
print QUEUE, Then it will print it one by one (Not Mixed!)
For example, you will see a small print icon on status bar when you print a Word Document. 1, 2, 3,... when Finish, the printer icon become normal and it will print as put in print queue...
If you using Novell, and observe from Pconsole, you will see that the print job is adding into print queue!
