I am fed up to here with this. I come here to discuss programming related issues. I will not tolerate your missionizing in my thread nor on the UT in general. If you tried missionizing on my street I would have you hauled away as a public nuisance.

Many people here can attest that I have worked extensively side by side with people who do not share my beliefs. If they inquire I will explain, otherwise they do what they want and vice versa.

You started it buddy. You want some religion? Let's forget the fact that you know very little of yours other than some platitudes, and let's skip right to the meat. Remember, you asked for it. Now you can really be floored.

A number of years ago there was conflict at Northwestern University when missionaries targeted Jewish groups with their recruitment attempts. The university brought in some expert to conduct a forum.

I will give you two quotes from this expert, and then I will not discuss the subject again.

Quote #1: "Some Jewiish students have compared missonaries to Hitler. That is definitely excessive and not fair. I mean I hate Hitler as much as anyone, but there is no need to insult him like that. "

Quote #2: "How many Christians were fed to the lions when they would not give up their faith? They screamed to the heavens that nobody could touch their soul, and they were willing to die for their belief. Missionizing out of love is a joke. It is merely an attempt to do to Jews what Christians would not allow to be done to themselves - force them to give up their soul."

Quotes #3: 'if you wish to missionzie, how about starting with the millions of lapsed Christians right in your own faith? Are you so weak in your beliefs that you need to prove yourselves by converting others?"
