VFP 5.0a, Windows '95, Word 6 / 95

I have a bound OLE control on a form containing an MS Word document. If I open it (doVerb = -2) the horizontal size of the Word document is changed to "Custom" with a size that varies with the width of the OLE Control, even though the original setting was (say) A4.

This does not occur in Access (2) nor if I embed a document in Excel - i.e. right-clicking and selecting OPEN launches Word with the correct (stored) page size.

I have tried varying the various properties of the control but to no avail. Setting the page size after opening is not an option - it could have been any size, not just A4.

Changing the page setting in Word changes the display but the fix is not permanent - opening the document again gives the Custom page size.

Ideas or clues as to what is going wrong? Is this a display / printer / problem, if so why doesn't it affect Access or Excel?
